Instructions:
When your canvas Awning is installed, fully extend the blind to settle it evenly. Also, keep the Awning extended and evenly exposed as often as possible to avoid uneven shrinkage. When raising, hold the blind at the centre of the bottom rail firmly guiding it up.
Troubleshooting Tips:
If the Awning is kept rolled up for prolonged periods there may be a build-up of moisture, which can cause uneven shrinkage and looseness on the sides. To prevent this happening make sure the blind is free of moisture when retracting. During winter if blinds are not in use, draw them up and tuck the nap under the headbox to avoid unnecessary wear and fading. In inclement weather always retract awnings.
Care:
Awnings can be cleaned using water from your garden hose (subject to local water restrictions) and a soap that does not contain ammonia e.g. ‘Velvet’ or ‘Softly’, then sponged down with lukewarm water. See care label on awning for further information. Do not scrub with brushes or use any form of chemicals and ensure your Awning is dry before retracting. |
